The short version: File tools (PDF, image, text) run 100% in your browser — your files never leave your device. AI writing tools send your text to our AI provider (Groq) for processing but nothing is stored. We collect no personal information.
What data do we collect?
ZapKitt collects minimal data to improve our service:
- Analytics data: We use Vercel Analytics to understand how many people visit our site, which tools are popular, and which countries our visitors come from. This data is anonymous — we cannot identify individual users.
- No personal information: We do not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, or any personal information.
- No file data: Your files (PDFs, images, text) are processed entirely in your web browser. They are never uploaded to our servers or any third-party servers.
How do our tools work?
All ZapKitt tools use client-side (browser-based) processing. This means:
- When you compress a PDF, the compression happens on YOUR device
- When you generate a QR code, it's generated on YOUR device
- When you extract text from an image (OCR), the AI model runs on YOUR device
- For file-processing tools, no files are ever sent to any server. AI writing tools send text to our AI provider for real-time processing only
This approach ensures maximum privacy and speed.
Cookies
We may use essential cookies for analytics purposes only. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or any cookies that identify you personally.
AI-Powered Tools — Data Processing
ZapKitt offers two types of tools with different data handling:
- File-processing tools (PDF, Image, QR, Text tools): These run 100% in your browser. No data is sent to any server. Your files never leave your device.
- AI writing tools (Resume Builder, Email Writer, Cover Letter, LinkedIn Post, Paraphraser, Summarizer, Translator, Grammar Checker, Blog Intro, Cold Email): These tools send your text input to our server, which forwards it to Groq (groq.com), a third-party AI provider, for processing using the Llama 3.3 model. Your text is processed in real-time and is not stored permanently by ZapKitt or Groq. We do not store, log, or retain any text you submit to AI tools.
- AI Image Generator: This tool uses Puter.js (puter.com), a third-party service, to generate images. Your image description (prompt) is sent to Puter's servers for processing. Generated images are delivered directly to your browser. Puter.js may require a free account for image generation.
We recommend not submitting sensitive personal information (passwords, financial data, medical records) to any AI tool.

- Vercel: Website hosting and anonymous analytics
- Google Fonts: Typography (Inter font)
- cdnjs.cloudflare.com: Open-source JavaScript libraries for our tools
- Groq (groq.com): AI language model provider for writing tools
- Puter.js (puter.com): AI image generation service
Children's privacy
ZapKitt is available to users of all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, as we do not collect personal information from anyone.
